A project in Costa Rica led by Huawei and environmental organizations uses artificial intelligence and acoustic devices to study and protect the green macaw, a critically endangered species. Early results show progress in its conservation and a better understanding of its behavior and habitat.

This film documents a conservation success story in Costa Rica, centered on protecting the green macaw, a critically endangered species. Over two days of filming in remote locations such as Tortuguero and the northern Caribbean of Costa Rica (the Los Chiles region), it captured the work of an innovative project that uses artificial intelligence and acoustic monitoring to study this species' behavior and habitat.

Led by Huawei in collaboration with environmental organizations, the project gathers real-time data through sensors installed in the tropical forest, helping improve biodiversity conservation strategies. It combines audiovisual production in extreme environments, advanced technology and positive environmental impact, showing how innovation can help protect unique ecosystems.
